Application of ICANN Policies

The registration, renewal, transfer, and deletion of domain names are subject to the policies established by ICANN, including Consensus Policies, as well as any specific policies applicable to each domain extension.

These may include, among others:

  • Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP)
  • Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS), where applicable
  • ICANN Transfer Policy
  • Expired Registration Recovery Policy
  • ICANN policies relating to registrant data and verification

Clients on whose behalf Digital Stones registers domain names are informed that domain registration services are governed by these applicable ICANN policies and related registrar rules.

Registrant Information

Registrants must provide truthful, accurate, and up-to-date information for domain registration purposes, including name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and, where applicable, administrative and technical contact details.

Failure to provide or maintain accurate registration data may result in suspension or cancellation of the domain name in accordance with ICANN policies and registrar requirements.

Registrant Obligations

The registrant is responsible for ensuring that:

  • the registration and use of the domain name does not infringe third-party rights;
  • the domain name is not used for unlawful purposes;
  • the use of the domain name complies with applicable law, ICANN policies, and registry rules;
  • the domain name is not used for spam, phishing, malware distribution, botnets, identity theft, or any other abusive activity.

Dispute Resolution

Domain name disputes may be subject to ICANN dispute resolution procedures, including the UDRP and, where applicable, the URS. Registrants are bound by the decisions adopted under such procedures.

Transfers

Domain transfers between registrars are governed by ICANN Transfer Policy and the procedures established by the sponsoring registrar.

Registrants may request the authorization code (AuthInfo / EPP code) required for transfer, in accordance with ICANN rules and applicable timelines.

Expiration and Recovery

If a domain name expires, the applicable registry and ICANN procedures will apply. A recovery grace period or redemption period may be available, subject to the payment of applicable fees.

After the expiration of all applicable grace periods, the domain name may become available for registration by third parties, without any preferential recovery right for the former registrant.

WHOIS Information

Domain registration data can be consulted through the official ICANN lookup service:
